There is a tale I want to tell one day when I have time enough to do it justice. Perhaps tale is the wrong choice of words; as it actually happened to my Dad many years ago and was verified by his mom; my Grandmother.
I want to take my time in telling it as it was told to me. It gave me chills when I first heard at 10 years of age and again at 22. To this day, I still get a chill up my spine when I reflect on it and what the creature may have been that chased my Dad into his front yard.
Because I have an innate dislike for folks who spin yarns just to get attention or sucker the naive into believing anything that is told them and because I hate sensationalism, this blog does attempt to remain within the realm of the possible. I try and select those stories and news items that leave me scratching my head, wondering "what the heck." The creature of Evans County, Georgia is one of those personal accounts that just leaves you a bit disconcerted and glancing over each shoulder if you ever find yourself walking home alone on a dark night.
It may be I can find the time to put it in writing this coming week. I owe it to my Dad; a 100% disabled Veteran of WWII who has now passed on, to tell it honestly and factually. If I do blog it this week, it will be the first time I have ever shared it with anyone apart from my kids.
